“Rhino Charging“ Sculpture Safari Collection, Steel Outlines
Stephen Vince has explored a number of options in sculpture by working from three dimensional objects and seems to reduce them to just two dimensions.
He seeks depth and texture on his surfaces, and as Matisse says, the door is wide open for the viewers imagination.
He often uses highly polished stainless steel. This challenges the illusion of what appears to be a two dimensional surface and adds movement to the static sculpture.
