An opening Earth Day ceremony, presented by Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza (FDHP), honored the Family School’s Headmistress Lesley Nan Haberman (at left in photo), sponsor of the “Bottles in Bloom” environmental exhibit, for civic leadership, community service and generous support to the park and education with a commendation from Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney to be entered into the Congressional Record. Families and children of The Family School cheered Ms. Haberman, who is a charter member of FDHP and serves as vice president..
