Tree & Menorah Lighting / Dec 10th!

Annual Tree & Menorah Lighting Celebration – FREE!
Our annual Tree and Menorah Lighting returns to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza with Santa. and the Holiday Carolers. Clad in Victorian costume, the carolers’ acapella harmonies lift our spirit with winter showtunes, golden oldies, hymns and Hannukah songs. Free cookies and hot cocoa. Kids join Santa for the count down.
As the winter solstice brings the longest night, the Turtle Bay Association continues its long tradition of providing the wonderful lighted tree in the entrance dome while Friends of Dag adorn the Plaza with lighted trees in the six fountains and the big holiday wreath in the center colonnade. Many thanks to our friends at the Parks department for orchestrating the power supply and installations. We’re ready for the holidays!
Friends of Dag Plaza and the Turtle Bay Association sponsor the event with support from the Vanderbilt YMCA and The Family School. Thanks also to Taskin Cafe and Bakery for contributing tasty treats!
