Street vendors, bargains galore and food for sale. Stroll the street on Friday between 10 AM and 4 PM. The promoter,  Mardi Gras Productions, calls this a block party but it\’s really a one-block street fair. Dag Hammarskjold Plaza  benefits because as sponsor, FDHP  receives  a small cut of the booth rentals, which helps offset the escalating costs of park maintenance and repairs. All NYC street fairs require a nonprofit sponsor and are produced by a promoter such as Mardi Gras.
