Volunteer in the Garden

Our Garden Committee maintains the garden, organizing plant installations with volunteers in spring and fall. In late October, volunteers plant thousands of bulbs (daffodils, hyacinths, etc) for a dazzling spring bloom. We also participate in “It’s My Park Day” a citywide volunteer effort organized by the Parks Department held every year in May and October. In remembrance of 9/11, the Daffodil Project recruits park volunteers to plant thousands of daffodils in greenspaces throughout the city.

If you or your group wish to be notified of major planting dates, please fill out the Volunteer form.
